  Being located in Opportunity (Spokane Valley), WA USA,  our view (usually) includes Mica Peak, but inspiration for the name of this site, came first via the Old Testament Book of Micah, followed by the thought of Mica Peak.
  I am Christian, saved by the blood of Christ, the Lamb of God. 
  I am also American, put into this time and place, by the grace of God..
  No specific, long-term intention for this website, but I believe God wants me to find my ' voice' and use it for HIS good purposes.  The Old Testament prophet Micah seems to be a good example for me to follow.
  I am not attempting to put my words into the mouth of God.  The home page "Warning!" is the primary focus of this site.  My comments are my attempt to explain how one chapter to the Old Testament seems to be applicable to America today.
  I'll attempt to limit my verbosity, but...best laid plans & all.... :)

 By the way, I have not implemented a 'Contact Us' link.  It is not my intension to field questions, receive criticisms or praise.  This is on purpose.

Good News:

  God and Christ Jesus love you and want you with them for all eternity.  God became flesh, took on and paid for all the sins of the world, by the shedding of HIS holy, innocent blood on the cross....

  • Cry out to God. 
  • Confess that you are a sinner. 
  • Ask God's forgiveness for your sins. 
  • Ask Jesus to come into your life.
  • Accept HIS gift of salvation!
  • You are good enough, just as you are.
  • Through Christ's death and resurrection, we will be resurrected.  Death and the grave have no hold over us.

Or the Bad News: 

  The alternative to salvation, is an agonizing eternity, separated from God.

 

So: 

  You are free to choose, but only in this lifetime....Do not ever assume you will have a chance to decide tomorrow, or even one minute from now.  That time may never come.....

  Do not allow yourself to be persuaded that you  will be given a chance to accept salvation after    you leave this life, or  that you can earn salvation, or that you do not need salvation.

Micah: 

  The name Micah has a Hebrew meaning [to be inserted], but when I see it, I think of two things:

  1. mica is a transparent mineral.
  2. in Hebrew, adding the 'h' sound refers to the breath of God (i.e. Abram's name changed to Abraham.)

  If you add the two, you get a transparent view of the breath of God.  (Micah got right to the point!)

  I am no authority on God's Word.  God is the authority on HIS Word.  These writings are my attempt to explain my beliefs and understandings. The important and effective portions of the website, are references to scripture found in God's Word (the Bible.)

  If any of you lack wisdom (implying a desire for wisdom), God tells us to ask of HIM and HE will give it.

 

  I think it is best to approach the wisdom of God, knowing that:

  • The wisdom of man is foolishness to God.
  • The wisdom of God is foolishness to [natural] man.

 

  Don't expect knowledge and wisdom you aquire from and about God, to be readily accepted by friends and family.  They will understand, if and when God draws them to understanding. 

 

  A person's first move (even if tiny), needs to be toward God.  It is surprising how close HE is, when people turn toward HIM.

Christians, please pray for:

  • The granting of wisdom, discernment and integrity for our local, state and federal government officials.
  • God to bless all who suffer for HIS sake.
    • Forgiveness, peace and protection for our Nation
      ...and for the Nation of Israel.
    • Strength for all who suffer for HIS sake.
    • Protection, strength and integrity of our military service men, service women and their families.
